The different types of broadband can typically be broken down into ADSL, cable and fibre:

ADSL:

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) uses copper phone wires to deliver your broadband and whilst the most commonly available, is several times slower than average fibre speeds.

Cable:

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP):
